Shipping Policy

All orders ship the next business day from the Chicago area.  Orders placed on Friday after 3:30 PM CDT will ship the following Monday.  Typical transit using UPS or USPS is two business days for the Midwest states and three business days for the East and West coast.  For example, if you place your order on Monday and select UPS Ground, you should have it Thursday or Friday.

If you leave your email address and cell phone number, you will receive a text message and email with your tracking number.  Use the tracking number to track your delivery.  If you did not receive an email with your order confirmation or tracking number, check your spam/junk email folder.  We do not sell your email address or any of your contact information to third parties.  We rarely send emails out unless to remind you of upcoming maintenance, product alerts, or shipping information.

Order delays due to the carrier are not the responsibility of Give Them a Brake.  If you need expedited service, we have had our best success with UPS overnight services.  We have no control over delays caused by the carrier and contacting the carrier does not help - we've been there and done that many times over.

If you have an urgent request for shipping, please contact us directly and we will do our best to provide same-day shipping.  Urgent requests must be submitted before 3:30 PM Central Time as the pickup times from our local USPS and UPS take place at 5:30 PM Central Time.  So we have to get it to them before 5:30 PM in order to get it moving to their distribution centers the same day.

UNDERSTANDING BUSINESS DAYS AND NEXT-DAY DELIVERY
UPS and USPS both work on business days, Monday-Friday.  Next Day service really means "Next Business Day".  If you place your order on Monday and we ship it Monday, you should get it Tuesday.  If you place your order on Friday and we ship it on Friday, the carrier is guaranteeing delivery on Monday because Saturday and Sunday are not business days.  If Monday is a national holiday, which is also not a business day, then the carrier's guarantee is for Tuesday.
