** Note: Some hybrid and electric cars, like the Chevy Volt and Tesla, have electronic equipment installed under the passenger seat or foot-well area. In these cars, bolting the SafeDrive passenger controls (or anything for that matter) into the floor is not possible. Adding the T-Mount to your order will secure your SAFEDRIVE dual-control without the need to bolt it into the floor.

Having good experience with another maker (Four kits since 2008), I liked what I saw from SafeDrive, and decided to try it. My mechanic said the dual brake was easy to install and recommended I stick with SafeDrive.
I had ordered this part and it was lost in delivery. I called customer service and they looked at my order seeing that it was lost in New Orleans in the UPS system. They put another one in the mail that day no questions asked. Received the new order two days later and received the first one 2 weeks later.
I watched a ton of install videos and read the instructions thoroughly a few times. There’s plenty of videos on YouTube that cover all aspects of installation. It took a few minutes to get the cables adjusted so the throttle didn’t stick but that was explained on the instruction sheet. After testing in the neighborhood a little the pedals combined with the steering stick make it easy to drive from the right side. I highly recommend this vs. straddling between the seats. Even in my van with no center console the pedals are preferred.
I purchased this due to my left hand hurting by the end of the route, I straddle. It has helped in relieving the pain in my hand and it was easy to learn how to use. I know it said to try it out first, my first time using was actually on my route, I'm very rural so I didn't have to worry about to much traffic. Making right turns is still something I'm getting use to, but I'm getting there. Very satisfied with this purchase.
This is the fourth brake I’ve purchased and installed and the quality and attention to detail can’t get better. Each brake is installed in a different model of car and all of them fit seamlessly. I highly recommend the T-bar which I’ve put in the last two cars. Makes it simple to mount and no drilling. Excellent customer service as well.
